For in him every one of God’s promises is a “Yes.” For this reason it is through him that we say the “Amen,” to the glory of God. But it is God who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us, by putting his seal on us and giving us his Spirit in our hearts as a first installment.
2 Corinthians 1:20-22
Heavenly Father, on this Wednesday of Holy Week, as we journey closer to the cross, we pause in Your presence, reflecting on Your steadfast love and the fulfillment of Your promises. In 2 Corinthians 1:20-22, we are reminded that "For in him every one of God's promises is a 'Yes.' For this reason, it is through him that we say the 'Amen,' to the glory of God. But it is God who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us, by putting his seal on us and giving us his Spirit in our hearts as a first installment."
Lord, as we meditate on these words, we recognize the incredible gift of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Through Him, You have said 'Yes' to redemption, 'Yes' to grace, and 'Yes' to eternal life. As we walk through this Holy Week, let us hold tightly to the truth that in Christ, every promise You have made finds its fulfillment.
We thank You for establishing us in Christ, for anointing us with Your Spirit, and for marking us as Your own. May this assurance guide our steps and strengthen our hearts as we prepare to commemorate the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross and His glorious resurrection.
We ask for Your peace, Your guidance, and Your wisdom as we move through this sacred week. Help us to reflect Your love in our interactions, to seek moments of quiet prayer and reflection, and to deeply understand the magnitude of Your love for us, demonstrated in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
In His holy name, we pray, Amen.
