Praying the Scriptures

Saturday Morning Prayer

September 7, 2024

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! By his great mercy he has given us a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you. (1 Peter 1:3–4)

Heavenly Father,

We come before You this morning with hearts full of gratitude and praise. Blessed be Your name, for, in Your great mercy, You have given us a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. We thank You for this glorious inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for us.

Lord, as we start this new day, help us to live in the light of this hope. May we be reminded of the eternal promises You have made, that our future is secure in Your loving hands. Strengthen us to face the challenges of today with faith and courage, knowing that Your grace is sufficient for us in all circumstances.

Grant us the wisdom to seek Your will in all we do, and fill us with Your Spirit so that our actions reflect Your love and mercy to those around us. May we walk in the joy of our salvation, sharing the good news of Christ's resurrection and the hope we have in Him.

Thank You, Lord, for Your boundless love and for the promise of an inheritance that is far greater than anything this world can offer. Guide us today and always in the path of righteousness for Your name's sake.

In Jesus' name, we pray,

Amen.

I hope this prayer brings you peace and inspiration as you start your day.
