Praying the Scriptures
Sunday Morning Prayer
September 15, 2024
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways my ways, says the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. (Isaiah 55:8–9)
Gracious and Everlasting God,
We come before You this morning, humbled by Your wisdom and majesty. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so too are Your ways higher than our ways, and Your thoughts beyond our understanding. In our moments of confusion, doubt, or fear, help us to rest in the knowledge that You see all things clearly and guide us with perfect love.
Teach us to trust Your will, even when the path seems unclear, knowing that You are working in ways far greater than we can imagine. Open our hearts to Your presence today, that we may walk in the peace of Your wisdom and the light of Your truth.
May we draw closer to You in every step, and may our thoughts and actions reflect the love and grace You have shown us. Lead us, O Lord, in the way everlasting, trusting fully in Your plan for our lives.
In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray.
Amen.
