Thursday Morning Prayer
September 26, 2024
Listen! I am standing at the door, knocking; if you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to you and eat with you, and you with me. (Revelation 3:20)
Heavenly Father,
As the dawn breaks and another day unfolds, we pause to listen for the gentle knocking of Your presence at the door of our hearts. Lord, in the quiet of this morning, help us to hear Your voice with clarity and openness.
We invite You in, Lord Jesus, to reside in the innermost chambers of our lives. May our hearts be like open doors, welcoming You to enter and fill us with Your divine fellowship. As You promise to dine with us, let our spirits be nourished by Your Word and our lives be sustained by Your grace.
With every breath, let us feel Your closeness, and with every moment, let us share in the joy of Your company. As we go about our day, guide our actions and words so that they may reflect the love and peace we share in these sacred moments together.
Thank You, Lord, for the gift of this new day and for the assurance of Your everlasting presence. We open our doors wide, grateful for the communion we share with You. May our lives be a continuous feast of Your love, and may our actions be an invitation for others to know the warmth of Your embrace.
In Your holy name, we pray,
Amen.
