Sunday Morning Prayer

December 14, 2025

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”Hebrews 13:8

Lord Jesus,

As I rise into this Third Sunday of Advent, my heart rejoices in the unshakable truth that You are the same yesterday, today, and forever. In a world that shifts beneath my feet, Your steadfast presence restores my courage and quiets my fears. I thank You for being the constant light that guides me, the faithful Shepherd who never turns away, and the anchor that holds me fast when uncertainties swirl around me.

With joy I open my heart to the renewing work of Your Spirit this morning. Shape my thoughts, cleanse my desires, and deepen my trust in Your eternal faithfulness. Let the gladness of this Advent day draw me closer to You, awakening in me a renewed hope that does not fade with changing seasons. Teach me to celebrate Your constancy not as a distant truth but as a living reality that strengthens and sustains me in every moment.

As I prepare my spirit for Your coming, both in remembrance and in expectation, help me walk in the joy that springs from belonging to You. Make my steps steady and my heart watchful, that I may greet this day with gratitude and confidence in Your unchanging love. Let the joy of Advent rise within me like morning light, guiding me to live faithfully, humbly, and with renewed purpose in Your name.

Amen.

May the unchanging love of Christ guide, strengthen, and fill us with joyful hope as we continue our Advent journey together.
