Evening Prayer for Saturday, September 28, 2024

Praying the Scriptures

Saturday Evening Prayer

September 28, 2024

O give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever. Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, those he redeemed from trouble and gathered in from the lands, from the east and from the west, from the north and from the south. (Psalm 107:1–3)

Heavenly Father, giver of all grace,

We come before You as the evening shadows fall, hearts brimming with gratitude, for "You are good; your steadfast love endures forever."

We thank You, O Lord, for Your unfailing mercies that have sustained us through the day. In moments of joy and in times of trial, Your love has been our refuge. For those who wandered in desert wastelands, finding no way to a city to dwell in, You guided them by Your mighty hand and led them to a place of sanctuary.

As the stars light the heavens above, we remember those who are lost and alone, those still searching for their way home. Draw them near, O God, just as You gathered us from the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north and from the south.

Let Your spirit rest upon every heart that seeks You tonight. Renew our spirits, that we may rise with the morning sun, refreshed and ready to walk in Your paths.

In Your holy name, we pray,

Amen.

May this prayer bring peace and comfort to your evening.
