Praying the Scriptures
Friday Morning Prayer
September 20, 2024
Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; his greatness is unsearchable. One generation shall laud your works to another, and shall declare your mighty acts. On the glorious splendor of your majesty, and on your wondrous works, I will meditate. (Psalm 145:3–5)
Heavenly Father,
Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised; Your greatness is unsearchable. In the quiet of this morning, we pause to reflect on Your magnificent works and the glorious splendor of Your kingdom. Each day tells of Your mighty acts and the wonders You have wrought.
Lord, as we witness the beauty of Your creation and the infinite wisdom of Your deeds, let our mouths speak the praise of the Lord. May our hearts meditate on Your wondrous works and the power of Your awesome deeds.
Guide us this day to walk in the light of Your love, to extend Your grace to those we meet, and to contribute to Your kingdom. Let our lives be a testament to Your enduring mercy and boundless love.
In Your holy name, we pray,
Amen.
May this prayer bring you peace and inspiration for the day ahead.
