Thursday Morning Prayer
October 3, 2024
All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting the message of reconciliation to us. (2 Corinthians 5:18–19)
Heavenly Father,
As we gather this Thursday morning, we give thanks for the ministry of reconciliation You have entrusted to us, as revealed in Your Word. You, through Christ, reconciled the world to Yourself, not counting our trespasses against us, and bestowed upon us the message of reconciliation.
Lord, we are humbled by Your grace. Equip us, we pray, to be ambassadors for Christ, knowing that it is through Your love that we are empowered to extend forgiveness and seek unity. May our words and actions this day reflect the peace and reconciliation that You have shown us.
Guide us to live not for ourselves but for Him who died and was raised for our sake. May our endeavors today bridge gaps, heal wounds, and bring hope where there is despair. Let us be instruments in Your hands, showing others the path to Your forgiveness and everlasting peace.
In the name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and ultimate reconciler, we pray,
Amen.
