Praying the Scriptures

Tuesday Morning Prayer

October 1, 2024

Rejoice in hope, be patient in suffering, persevere in prayer.… Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. (Romans 12:12, 15)

Heavenly Father,

As we welcome this new day, we come before You with hearts eager to rejoice in hope, to be patient in tribulation, and to persevere in prayer. We ask You to infuse our spirits with Your divine joy, which surpasses all understanding, and to remind us of the hope that burns bright in Your promises.

Lord, in our trials and the moments that test our faith, grant us the grace to be patient. Help us to see each challenge as an opportunity to grow closer to You, trusting that You are refining us like gold in the fire.

As we navigate the busyness of this day, keep our hearts tuned to Your voice, eager to commune with You through prayer. Make us steadfast in our commitment to seek Your face, not only in moments of quiet but amidst the storms of life.

Teach us, O God, to weep with those who weep and to share in the joy of those who rejoice. Knit our hearts together in compassion and empathy so that we might truly be a reflection of Your love to all around us.

May our lives be a testament to Your enduring faithfulness as we cling to the hope You provide, show patience in adversity, and commit ourselves to a prayerful life. We ask all this in the precious name of Jesus, our Lord.

Amen.

May this prayer bring you peace and guidance as you start your day.
