Praying the Scriptures

Wednesday Morning Prayer

October 9, 2024

Those who had conquered the beast and its image and the number of its name, standing beside the sea of glass with harps of God in their hands. And they sing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb: “Great and amazing are your deeds, Lord God the Almighty! Just and true are your ways, King of the nations! Lord, who will not fear and glorify your name? For you alone are holy. All nations will come and worship before you, for your judgments have been revealed.” (Revelation 15:2b–4)

Heavenly Father,

On this crisp October morning, as Your creation bursts with autumnal colors, I stand in awe of Your majestic deeds. Just as the saints in Revelation beheld Your glory by the sea of glass, mingled with fire, so too does Your splendor reflect in the golden leaves and clear blue skies.

Lord, who will not fear and glorify Your name? For You alone are holy. All nations shall come and worship before You, for Your judgments have been revealed. As the crisp air fills my lungs, I am reminded of Your righteousness and the purity of Your ways.

Grant me the courage, O God, to walk in Your holy path today. May my actions reflect Your love and justice, and may my words sing praises like the heavenly chorus, declaring Your wondrous works to all I meet.

For You are the King of the ages, faithful and true, and Your promises are everlasting. I rejoice in the salvation You offer, and I dedicate this day to You, confident in Your merciful presence.

In Your holy name, I pray,

Amen.

May this prayer bring you strength and encouragement as you go about your day!
