Wednesday Evening Prayer
October 2, 2024
In you, O LORD, I seek refuge; do not let me ever be put to shame; in your righteousness deliver me. Incline your ear to me; rescue me speedily. Be a rock of refuge for me, a strong fortress to save me. (Psalm 31:1–2)
Heavenly Father,
In You, O Lord, we seek refuge; let us never be put to shame. In Your righteousness, deliver us and set us free. Incline Your ear to us, and speedily rescue us.
Be for us a rock of refuge, a strong fortress to save us, for You are indeed our rock and our fortress. Guide us and lead us for the sake of Your name.
As we gather this Wednesday evening, we place our trust in You, knowing You are our protector and deliverer. Shelter us from the troubles of this world, and embrace us with Your steadfast love.
In moments of uncertainty, be the light that guides our path, and the shield that guards our hearts. Let us sleep in peace tonight, secure in the knowledge that we are in Your care.
In Jesus’ name, we pray,
Amen.
May this prayer bring you comfort and strength as you reflect on God's promises this evening.
