Luke 2:11-14
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
The peace of God is not the result of living any way you choose. It is the result of living a godly lifestyle, which is characterized by obedience to and faith in the Lord. Jesus brings a sword to the hearts and minds of those who are living in sin and rebellion. For those who follow Him with devoted hearts, He offers His unshakable peace.
