Psalm 86:5
For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.While many psalms focus on life’s hardships, Psalm 86 focuses on God’s nature and His relationship with the psalmist. David described his view of God throughout the psalm, writing about God’s goodness, mercy, forgiveness, majesty, compassion, and truth. Although David said he was surrounded by enemies (v. 14), his focus was on God and His power to help. David also asked God to teach him how to live in His ways (v. 11). Perhaps you can push the circumstances of your life to the side today and meditate only on God. Pray that He will show you how to live.
