Matthew 22:37-39
And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.Jesus said that along with loving God, the more than six hundred commands in the Law and the Prophets are all based upon loving your neighbor (Matt. 22:36–40; Mark 12:28–31). Why? Because we show we belong to Him when we love others (John 13:34, 35; Rom. 13:8; 1 John 4:20).
