1 John 3:11
For this is the message you heard from the beginning: We should love one another.Since we are free from sin, we are free to love one another. In verse 11, John introduces the core issue of love, which has been “from the beginning.” This “beginning” likely refers to the beginning of the Christian faith (Jn 13:34), though love for neighbor did not begin there (Lev 19:18).
