Deuteronomy 6:6-7
These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.We have been given His written Word, which contains His sovereign will for all His blood-bought children, and we should make sure that His Word is written in our hearts and stored in our minds. We should recognize that the way we live our lives, the words we speak with our lips, the thoughts we imagine in our hearts, the acts we carry out in our lives, and the motive behind our actions will reflect our relationship with Him—which either honors His name or dishonors His word.
