For you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night…But you, brothers and sisters, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief. You are all children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness.

Heavenly Father, as a new day dawns, we remember that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. Let our hearts be ever vigilant and ready, not overtaken by darkness, but standing firm in the light.
For, Lord, You have chosen us not to be in darkness but to live as children of the light and day. As the sun rises and casts away the shadows, let the light of Your love and grace illuminate our hearts and minds.
May we walk in Your truth, embrace Your hope, and reflect Your radiance. Guide us through this day, that we might be beacons of Your love, hope, and peace to all we encounter.
In Your blessed name, we pray. Amen.
