Oh, that you would rend the heavens and come down, that the mountains would tremble before you! As when fire sets twigs ablaze and causes water to boil, come down to make your name known to your enemies and cause the nations to quake before you!

Oh, that you would rend the heavens and come down, that the mountains would tremble before you! As when fire sets twigs ablaze and causes water to boil, come down to make your name known to your enemies and cause the nations to quake before you!
Isaiah 64:1–2 (NIV)
Almighty God, as we start our day, we call upon You, just as Isaiah did, asking that You would rend the heavens and come down among us. Let Your presence fill our hearts and our homes, and let the mountains of our troubles tremble before Your might.
Just as fire sets twigs ablaze and causes water to boil, let Your Holy Spirit ignite a flame within us, burning away our impurities and setting our hearts ablaze with Your love and passion. Come down, O Lord, and make Your name known to us, that we may see Your glory and live in awe of You.
Help us to face our enemies with courage and strength, knowing that You are with us, and let the nations of our worries and fears quake before Your mighty power. You are our rock, our fortress, and our deliverer. In You, we find our peace and our hope.
We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
