The Morning Prayer for Friday, December 22, 2023

The Morning Prayer
Friday, December 22, 2023

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:4–7 (NIV)

Heavenly Father, on this Friday morning, as Christmas draws near, we rejoice in You, Lord, with hearts full of gratitude and joy. Your steadfast love and boundless mercy are our greatest gifts, and in this season of Advent, we are reminded of the wonder of Your grace.

Lord, let our gentleness be evident to all. In the midst of the holiday bustle, may we be beacons of Your peace, reflecting Your love and kindness in our actions and words. You are near, O God, and in Your presence, we find our truest joy.

We lift our prayers and petitions to You with thanksgiving, casting aside anxiety and worry. As we prepare our hearts for Christmas, we trust in Your provision and care. May Your peace, which transcends all understanding, guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

In this sacred season of anticipation, help us to focus on the true meaning of Christmas—the birth of Jesus, our Savior. May our celebration be centered on You, reflecting the glory of Your love and the hope You bring to the world.

In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.
I hope this prayer resonates with you and brings comfort and peace to your morning.
