The Morning Prayer for Sunday, February 18, 2024

The Morning Prayer
Sunday, February 18, 2024
But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.
Isaiah 40:29–31 (NSRV)
Heavenly Father, on this first Sunday of Lent, we come before You with open hearts, seeking Your grace and strength. Inspired by Your word in Isaiah, we are reminded of Your endless love and mighty power.

Lord, You give power to the faint and strengthen the powerless. As we embark on this Lenten journey, renew our spirits and fortify our souls. In moments of weariness and doubt, lift us up on wings like eagles, that we may run and not be weary, walk and not faint.

Guide us through these forty days of reflection and repentance. Help us to grow closer to You, understanding the depth of Your sacrifice and the boundless nature of Your love. May this Lenten season be a time of spiritual renewal and deeper faith.

In every challenge we face, remind us that You are our source of strength and hope. Let us rest in the assurance of Your everlasting arms, finding peace in Your presence and courage in Your promises.

We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

May this prayer resonate with you, bringing comfort and peace to your morning, and drawing you closer to the heart of God as you navigate through the day's journey.
