Morning Prayer for Monday, March 25, 2024

Monday Morning Prayer
March 25, 2024
The Lord is not slow about his promise, as some think of slowness, but is patient with you, not wanting any to perish, but all to come to repentance.
2 Peter 3:9
Heavenly Father, on this Monday of Holy Week, we gather in your presence with hearts open to your enduring patience and boundless love. As we reflect on Your Word in 2 Peter 3:9, we are reminded of your deep desire for all to come to repentance and the promise of your salvation.

Lord, in your mercy, you wait for us, not willing that any should perish. Teach us to embrace your patience as we journey through these holy days. Guide our hearts to a deeper understanding of your love, a love that waited through centuries, a love made manifest in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, our Savior.

As we meditate on the events of Holy Week, let us not rush through the moments of reflection and repentance. Instead, let us move slowly, recognizing your divine patience at work in our lives, calling us closer to you.

Grant us, O God, the grace to be patient with ourselves and with others, as you are patient with us. Help us to see the world through your eyes, eyes that are slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. May our lives reflect your desire for all to come to repentance and knowledge of your truth.

As we walk through this Holy Week, let each step draw us nearer to the heart of your mystery. Teach us to wait in hope, to act in love, and to live in the truth of your promise.

In the name of Jesus Christ, who journeyed through this week for our salvation, we pray. Amen.
