Morning Prayer for Wednesday, April 3, 2024

Wednesday Morning Prayer
April 3, 2024
In days to come the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be established as the highest of the mountains, and shall be raised above the hills; all the nations shall stream to it. Many peoples shall come and say, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; that he may teach us his ways and that we may walk in his paths.”
Isaiah 2:2-3a
Heavenly Father, on this blessed Wednesday of Easter Week, we gather in Your radiant presence, hearts brimming with the joy of resurrection. As we reflect upon the words of the prophet Isaiah, "In days to come the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be established as the highest of the mountains, and shall be raised above the hills; all the nations shall stream to it. Many peoples shall come and say, ‘Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob;'" we are reminded of Your eternal promise of peace and salvation.

Lord, just as the mountain of Your house stands firm and exalted, so too does Your unwavering love and grace in our lives. We rejoice in the victory of Your Son, Jesus Christ, over death, and we are inspired by His resurrection to seek Your truth and walk in Your ways.

Guide us, O God, on this day and always, to be instruments of Your peace and bearers of Your light. As the nations stream to Your holy mountain, let us be welcoming to all who seek Your face. Teach us to live in harmony and to strive for justice and righteousness in our communities and in the world.

May our hearts and minds ascend to the heights of Your wisdom and understanding. Strengthen us in faith, and fill us with the hope and joy of Easter. In all that we do, let us glorify You, O Lord, and bear witness to the risen Christ.

In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
