Friday Morning Prayer
June 28, 2024
June 28, 2024
For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the children of God; for the creation was subjected to futility, not of its own will but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to decay and will obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God.
Romans 8:19–21
Heavenly Father, as we rise to greet this new day, we thank You for the gift of life and the promise of Your creation. We are reminded, through Your Word, that all of creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of Your children. In the beauty of the morning light, we see the hope and the promise of freedom that You have set before us.
Lord, we acknowledge the sufferings of this present time and the ways in which creation itself is subjected to futility. Yet, we hold steadfast to the hope that You have promised—a hope that we, and all of creation, will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God.
Help us to live today as agents of Your redemption, bringing Your light into the darkness and Your hope into despair. May we see the world through Your eyes, recognizing the potential for renewal and restoration in all things. Grant us the strength and courage to be instruments of Your peace, love, and justice.
We pray that Your Spirit guides us, that we may be mindful of our actions and their impact on Your creation. Let our lives be a testament to the hope we have in You, as we eagerly await the full manifestation of Your kingdom.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
