Thursday Morning Prayer
June 20, 2024

Since we belong to the day, let us be sober, and put on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet the hope of salvation. For God has destined us not for wrath but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Thessalonians 5:8–9

Heavenly Father, as the morning light dawns upon us, we put on the armor of faith and love, embracing the hope of salvation as our helmet. We are reminded of Your gracious gift of eternal life through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Strengthen us today, O Lord, to walk in Your light, remaining vigilant and sober in our actions and thoughts. May our faith in You shield us from the darkness, and may Your love guide our steps in every encounter and decision.

We thank You for not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through Jesus Christ. Let this truth fill our hearts with joy and peace, empowering us to live each moment for Your glory.

Grant us the courage to stand firm in our faith and the compassion to love others as You have loved us. As we go about our day, may we reflect Your light and grace to all we meet.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
