Praying the Scriptures
Monday Evening Prayer
August 12, 2024
The LORD is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts; so I am helped, and my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him. (Psalm 28:7)
Gracious and Loving God,
As the day draws to a close and the evening shadows lengthen, I come before You with a heart full of gratitude and praise. Your Word tells me that You, O Lord, are my strength and my shield; in You, my heart trusts.
Thank You for the many ways You have supported and protected me today. Your presence has been my constant companion, guiding me through moments of uncertainty and granting me the courage to face the challenges that came my way. In times of doubt, Your steadfast love has been my reassurance.
Tonight, as I reflect on Your faithfulness, my heart rejoices. I sing Your praises, Lord, for You have been my helper. You have lifted my spirit and renewed my hope. Your blessings are abundant, and Your grace sustains me.
I place my trust in You once more as I prepare for rest. Guard my heart and mind with Your peace. Fill my dreams with the light of Your love and wisdom. May I wake refreshed and ready to serve You with a joyful heart.
Thank You, Lord, for being my strength and shield, my refuge and deliverer. In Your holy name, I pray.
Amen.
