Praying the Scriptures
Saturday Evening Prayer
August 10, 2024
Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will hardship, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? … No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. (Romans 8:35, 37)
Loving and Gracious God,
As the day draws to a close, we turn to You in gratitude and reflection. Your Word assures us of Your enduring love, reminding us that nothing can separate us from the love of Christ. In the quiet of this evening, we rest in the truth that neither hardship, distress, persecution, famine, nakedness, peril, nor sword can divide us from Your boundless grace.
We find comfort in knowing that in all these things, we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. Your strength empowers us to rise above our trials, and Your love sustains us in every moment of our lives.
Tonight, we ask for Your peace to settle in our hearts, calming our worries and fears. Help us to trust in Your unwavering presence, even when we face challenges and uncertainties. Guide us to embrace the fullness of Your love, sharing it generously with those around us.
As we close our eyes to rest, may Your Spirit renew our minds and hearts. Fill us with hope and courage for the days ahead, knowing that we are forever held in Your loving embrace.
In the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, we pray.
Amen.
May this prayer bring peace and comfort to your evening.
