Wednesday Evening Prayer
October 30, 2024
Praise the Lord, all you nations! Extol him, all you peoples! For great is his steadfast love toward us, and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever. Praise the Lord! (Psalm 117)
O Lord, my Refuge,
As the lengthening shadows embrace the land this October evening, I turn my heart towards Your enduring love and faithfulness. The crisp autumn air whispers of Your magnificent creation, reminding me to praise You, for great is Your steadfast love towards us.
Heavenly Father, I praise You with a humble heart, knowing that Your truth endures from generation to generation. As the leaves transform and fall, let my spirit be renewed, embracing the changes that lead me closer to You.
Tonight, I rest in the assurance of Your infinite mercy, which spans as vast as the New Mexican skies above. Let every heart, every soul—small and great alike—sing of Your praises, for we are bound by Your grace, which knows no borders.
Grant me peace this night, O God, as I reflect on Your unwavering faithfulness. Watch over all who find themselves under Your stars, whether in quiet valleys or bustling streets. May our rest be sweet and our hearts be light, secure in the knowledge that You are forever by our sides.
Amen.
May this prayer bring you comfort and strength as you reflect on God's promises this evening.
