Praying the Scriptures

Sunday Morning Prayer

February 2, 2025

And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with singing; everlasting joy shall be upon their heads; they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away. (Isaiah 35:10)

Heavenly Father,

As the first light of February dawns over the desert, I lift my heart to You, filled with gratitude for the beauty of this day. The cool, crisp air whispers of renewal, and the distant peaks of the Florida Mountains remind me of Your steadfastness and glory.

Your Word promises, “And the ransomed of the Lord shall return, and come to Zion with singing; everlasting joy shall be upon their heads; they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.” O Lord, let this truth shape my heart today.

I walk into this morning with hope, knowing that You have redeemed me and called me Your own. May the joy of Your salvation rest upon me like the morning dew, refreshing my spirit and banishing all weariness. May my steps today be light, carried by the promise of everlasting joy.

Help me, Father, to carry this joy to those I meet, like the warming sun breaking through the chilly dawn. May my words sing of Your goodness, and my actions reflect Your love. For even here, amidst the quiet stillness of this desert land, You are making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.

Lord, guide me this day to live fully in Your peace. May my heart be ever mindful of Your promise that sorrow and sighing shall flee away. Help me to trust You in all things, finding strength in Your eternal presence.

I surrender this day to You, my Redeemer, my Joy, and my God. May all I do and all I am bring glory to Your name.

Amen.

I hope this prayer brings you peace and inspiration for your day.
