Tuesday Morning Prayer
March 25, 2025
As a father has compassion for his children, so the LORD has compassion for those who fear him. For he knows how we were made; he remembers that we are dust. (Psalm 103:13–14)
Heavenly Father,
As the first light of morning stretches over the desert, painting the Florida Mountains in hues of rose and gold, I pause in gratitude for the gift of another day. The cool morning air carries the scent of sage and creosote, a reminder of Your presence in this rugged and sacred land.
As a father has compassion for his children, so You, Lord, have compassion for me. You know my frame, You remember that I am dust. In my weakness, You are my strength. In my frailty, You hold me firm. You see me not as the world does, but as Your beloved child—formed by Your hands, known by Your heart, cherished beyond measure.
Today, as I walk the dusty trails and hear the mourning dove’s song, let me be mindful of Your mercy. Let me extend the same kindness and patience to others that You so freely offer to me. May my words be gentle, my actions be guided by love, and my spirit be steadfast in faith.
The vast sky above me speaks of Your endless grace, and the steadfast mountains whisper of Your unshakable faithfulness. Lord, teach me to trust in You as surely as the sun rises over this desert land. Let my soul bless You with every breath, knowing that I am dust, yet held in the embrace of eternity.
In the name of Jesus, my Redeemer and my Rock, I pray.
Amen.
