Praying the Scriptures
Tuesday Morning Prayer
March 4, 2025
Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight and the sin that clings so closely, and let us run with perseverance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus the pioneer and perfecter of our faith, who for the sake of the joy that was set before him endured the cross, disregarding its shame, and has taken his seat at the right hand of the throne of God. (Hebrews 12:1–2)
Creator of dawn and desert hush,
I wake beneath these wide southwestern skies, where the rising sun bathes the mesas and cactus in gold. Thank You for the faithful witnesses who have come before me—their footsteps in this ancient land remind me to shed every burden that holds me back.
As the desert wind gently sweeps away the lingering night, sweep away the doubts and sins that cling so closely. Help me run today’s race with perseverance, my eyes set upon Your Son, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. Fill my spirit with His endurance, so I may walk this desert path with strength and gratitude.
In the stillness of this southwestern morning, I lift my heart to You, trusting in Your guidance, renewed by Your mercy, and surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses who call me onward in love.
In Jesus' name, I pray,
Amen.
May this prayer bring you peace and guidance as you start your day.
