Praying the Scriptures

Saturday Morning Prayer

January 3, 2026

“The LORD has proclaimed to the end of the earth: Say to daughter Zion, 'See, your salvation comes; his reward is with him, and his recompense before him.’”Isaiah 62:11

Almighty God,

As the morning light breaks over the peaks of the Florida Mountains and stretches across this high desert valley, I lift my heart to You in gratitude. On this tenth day of Christmas, the air here in Deming is crisp and still, a tangible reminder of the peace You brought into the world. Just as the dawn chases away the shadows on the range, Your presence illuminates my spirit, calling me to wakefulness and praise in the quiet sanctuary of this new day.

I meditate on Your promise spoken through the prophet Isaiah, declaring to the ends of the earth that our Salvation comes. I rejoice that this proclamation has reached even this corner of New Mexico, reminding me that I am not forgotten in the vastness of Your creation. In the birth of Jesus, I see the fulfillment of that ancient hope; He is the Salvation who has walked among us, bringing the recompense of grace and the reward of eternal fellowship that satisfies the deepest thirst of my soul.

Let this truth settle deep within me as I walk through the hours of this day. May I be a reflection of "Daughter Zion," welcoming my King with open arms and a glad heart, confident that You are near. Help me to carry the lingering joy of Christmas forward, knowing that my Redeemer lives and walks beside me on this soil, guiding my steps with the assurance that Your reward is indeed with You.

Amen.

May the Lord who proclaims salvation to the ends of the earth bless us all with the reward of His presence and the comfort of His peace as we go forth this day.
