The Morning Prayer for Thursday, October 26, 2023

The Morning Prayer
Thursday, October 26, 2023

I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name—the name you gave me—so that they may be one as we are one.
John 17:11 (NIV)

Heavenly Father, as we awaken to the light of a new day, we are reminded of Your words in John 17:11, where Jesus prayed, “I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name, the name you gave me, so that they may be one as we are one.”

Lord, we recognize the challenges of this world and the distractions that often pull us away from Your presence. Yet, in the midst of our daily struggles, we find solace in knowing that You are with us, guarding us, and keeping us united in Your love.

May this day be a testament to the unity that You desire for us – unity with You and with one another. Let our thoughts, words, and actions reflect the love that binds us as one in Christ. Protect our hearts from division, strife, and misunderstandings. Surround us with Your shield of love and let us feel the warmth of Your embrace.

Guide our steps as we navigate this world. Give us strength to resist temptations and to stand firm in our faith. Let the light of Your truth illuminate our path, and may the hope of unity anchor us in moments of doubt or despair.

We pray for those who feel isolated or alone today. Draw them close to Your heart and help them experience the true unity and belonging that only You can offer. Bind us all together in the name of Jesus, so that as one body, one community, we may shine brightly in a world in need of Your love and grace.

Thank You for the gift of this new day. As we go forth, let us be mindful of our calling to be one in You. And as the day unfolds, remind us once again of the unbreakable bond that we share in Christ.

In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen.
May this prayer bring comfort and guidance to your mornings!
