John 10:7, 9-10

Therefore Jesus said again, “Very truly I tell you, I am the gate for the sheep.… I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

"I am the gate for the sheep.": This assertion by Jesus is multi-layered. At one level, Jesus identifies himself as the entryway into God's kingdom. The gate symbolizes protection and security. A shepherd in the ancient Near East would often act as a gate, lying down in the opening of a sheep pen to protect the flock during the night. In this way, Jesus is saying he is not only the entrance but also the protector of the flock.

"whoever enters through me will be saved": Salvation is a core message of Christianity, and Jesus, through this statement, asserts that the path to salvation is through him. It reinforces the idea that Jesus is the unique and singular way to eternal life.

"They will come in and go out, and find pasture.": This imagery is one of provision and abundance. The metaphor of finding pasture speaks to the nourishment, rest, and sustenance that believers receive through Jesus. It's a portrayal of spiritual prosperity and peace that's found in Jesus.
