Praying the Scriptures

Friday Morning Prayer

July 26, 2024

The LORD exists forever; your word is firmly fixed in heaven. Your faithfulness endures to all generations; you have established the earth, and it stands fast. By your appointment they stand today, for all things are your servants. (Psalm 119:89–91)

Heavenly Father,

Your word, O Lord, stands eternal in the heavens, a testament to Your unchanging grace and truth. Each day, as I awaken to the new light, I am reminded of Your faithfulness and the steadfastness of Your decrees. The earth abides by Your commands, and all creation testifies to Your sovereign hand.

As the laws of nature uphold the universe, so too, may Your laws uphold my life. Let Your eternal word be my guide as I navigate the complexities of this day. May I find strength in its truth and comfort in its promises. Help me to remember that, like the earth that You have established, I am sustained by Your provisions and bound by Your love.

Let me honor You in all that I do and seek Your wisdom in every decision. For Your laws are not just rules but invitations to a life of greater fullness and peace. As I step forward into this day, I trust in Your eternal word, which never fails.

In Jesus’ name, I pray,

Amen.

I hope this prayer enriches your morning and strengthens your connection to God's everlasting word.
