Praying the Scriptures

Monday Morning Prayer

July 22, 2024

You are those who have stood by me in my trials; and I confer on you, just as my Father has conferred on me, a kingdom, so that you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom. (Luke 22:28–30a)

Heavenly Father,

As dawn breaks and a new day begins, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude and humility. We remember the words of Your Son, Jesus Christ, who said, "You are those who have stood by me in my trials; and I confer on you, just as my Father has conferred on me, a kingdom, so that you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom."

Lord, we thank You for Your steadfast presence in our lives and for guiding us through trials and tribulations. Just as the disciples stood by Jesus, help us to stand firm in our faith, unwavering and resilient in the face of challenges. May we always seek to follow Your path, drawing strength and courage from Your love.

Grant us the grace to serve others with humility and compassion, knowing that we are called to share in Your kingdom. Let our actions today reflect Your glory, and may we bring comfort and hope to those we encounter.

As we gather at Your table, may we be reminded of the eternal banquet that awaits us, a testament to Your unending promise and love. Fill our hearts with joy and peace, knowing that we are part of Your divine plan.

We pray for wisdom, patience, and discernment as we navigate this day. Help us to see Your presence in every moment and to act with kindness and grace.

In Jesus' name, we pray.

Amen.

May this prayer bring you peace and strength as you start your day.
