Praying the Scriptures
Saturday Morning Prayer
July 20, 2024
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness.” So, I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. Therefore I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities for the sake of Christ; for whenever I am weak, then I am strong. (Jeremiah 32:38–39)
Gracious and loving God,
We come before You this morning with hearts full of gratitude. You have promised to be our God, and we are Your people. We thank You for the assurance of Your presence in our lives and for the relationship we have with You.
Lord, as You have said in Your Word, "They shall be my people, and I will be their God. I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear me for all time, for their own good and the good of their children after them." We pray that You grant us a heart unified in love and devotion to You. Guide us in the way we should go, that we may live in reverence and awe of Your holy name.
Help us to walk in Your ways today, to make choices that honor You, and to live in a manner that reflects Your grace and mercy. May our actions and words bring glory to You and serve as a testament to our faith.
Bless us with wisdom and understanding, that we may discern Your will in all that we do. Keep us mindful of the needs of others, showing kindness and compassion in every interaction.
We pray for Your guidance and protection throughout this day. Strengthen us with Your presence and fill us with Your peace. May Your Holy Spirit lead us in truth and love, now and always.
In Jesus' name, we pray,
Amen.
I hope this prayer brings you peace and inspiration as you start your day.
