Praying the Scriptures

Saturday Morning Prayer

July 27, 2024

I have other sheep that do not belong to this fold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to my voice. So there will be one flock, one shepherd. (John 10:16)

Heavenly Father,

As the dawn breaks and a new day begins, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude and hope. Your Word in John 10:16 reminds us of Your boundless love and the unity You desire for all Your children: “I have other sheep that do not belong to this fold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to my voice. So there will be one flock, one shepherd.”

Lord, we thank You for being our Good Shepherd, always watching over us, guiding us, and calling us by name. We pray for the wisdom and courage to hear and follow Your voice amidst the noise of the world. Help us to recognize and welcome those who are different from us, knowing that Your love transcends all boundaries and divisions.

May we be instruments of Your peace and unity, reaching out to those who are lost, lonely, or in need of Your grace. Teach us to love one another as You have loved us, creating a community where everyone can feel valued and embraced.

This morning, we ask for Your blessing on our day. Fill us with Your Spirit, that we may walk in Your light and share Your love with everyone we meet. Keep us mindful of Your presence and Your call to be one flock under one Shepherd.

In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

I hope this prayer brings you peace and inspiration for your day.
