Praying the Scriptures

Wednesday Morning Prayer

July 31, 2024

There are many who say, “O that we might see some good! Let the light of your face shine on us, O LORD!” (Psalm 4:6)

Gracious and Loving God,

As the dawn breaks and the light of a new day touches the earth, we come before You with grateful hearts. Your faithfulness sustains us, and Your mercy renews us each morning.

"Many say, ‘O that we might see some good! Let the light of your face shine on us, O Lord!’" (Psalm 4:6). In these words, we find our deepest longing – to experience Your goodness and to bask in the radiant light of Your presence.

Lord, as we begin this day, we ask that Your light may guide our steps. Illuminate our path with Your wisdom and love, so that we may walk in righteousness and peace. Let Your face shine upon us, dispelling the shadows of doubt and fear, and filling us with hope and joy.

Help us to reflect Your light to those around us, bringing comfort and encouragement to the weary, and sharing Your love with all we meet. May our words and actions today be a testament to Your grace and a beacon of Your truth.

In our moments of challenge and uncertainty, remind us of Your ever-present help. Strengthen our faith, that we may trust in Your unfailing goodness and find solace in Your embrace.

We offer this day to You, O Lord. May it be a day filled with Your blessings, guided by Your Spirit, and dedicated to Your glory.

In Jesus' name, we pray.

Amen.

May this prayer bring you strength and encouragement as you go about your day!
