Saturday Evening Prayer
August 17, 2024
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled, and do not let them be afraid. (John 14:27)
Heavenly Father,
In the stillness of this evening, we hold onto the peace You have given us—a peace unlike any the world offers. Lord, let our hearts not be troubled, nor let them be afraid, as we remember the words of Your Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ.
As the night unfolds around us, we ask for the tranquility of Your presence to settle within our homes and hearts. May Your Spirit gently whisper calm into the corners of our anxieties and fears, transforming them into faith and trust.
Bless us with restful sleep tonight, and may we awaken with renewed spirits, ready to follow Your path of peace. Help us to extend this divine peace to others so that they might glimpse Your love through our lives.
In the name of Jesus, Prince of Peace, we pray,
Amen.
May this prayer bring peace and comfort to your evening.
