Praying the Scriptures

Saturday Morning Prayer

August 17, 2024

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled, and do not let them be afraid. (John 14:27)

Heavenly Father,

As we greet the dawn of a new day, we embrace Your words in John 14:27, where You offer us peace unlike any the world can give. Lord, let this divine peace settle in our hearts, driving out all fear and uncertainty.

Guide us this day, Lord, in the path of Your peace. Help us to trust in Your promises and rely on Your presence, which calms our troubled hearts. In every conversation, decision, and challenge, may Your peace lead us and guide our words and actions.

Bless those who struggle to find peace in their lives. May they feel Your comforting touch and know the deep, steadfast peace that only You can provide. Teach us to be bearers of Your peace, sharing it generously with those who cross our paths.

Thank You, Lord, for the gift of this day and for the peace that allows us to face it with courage and grace. We pray all this in the name of Jesus, our Prince of Peace.

Amen.

I hope this prayer brings you peace and inspiration as you start your day.
