Saturday Evening Prayer

August 24, 2024

With all of these, take the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the flaming arrows of the evil one. (Ephesians 6:16)

Heavenly Father,

As night descends and the quiet of darkness envelops our world, we come before You with hearts seeking peace and protection. We remember the words of Your apostle Paul, to take up the shield of faith, with which we can extinguish the flaming arrows of the evil one.

Lord, we lift this shield high tonight. Fortify our faith so that it may be strong and unwavering in the face of the trials and tribulations that lurk in the shadows. Help us to trust in Your mighty power and endless mercy, knowing that You are our fortress and our shield.

Surround us with Your divine presence as we rest. Guard our minds against doubt and fear, and let Your truth be the light that guides us through the darkness. Fill our dreams with visions of Your kingdom, and awaken us with renewed strength and hope for the new day.

We thank You for the promise of Your protection and the gift of faith that shields us. Continue to guide us, mold us, and use us as instruments of Your peace and bearers of Your light.

In the name of Jesus Christ, our Defender and Redeemer, we pray,

Amen.

May this prayer bring peace and comfort to your evening.
