Praying the Scriptures
Wednesday Evening Prayer
August 28, 2024
The LORD is king, he is robed in majesty; the LORD is robed, he is girded with strength. He has established the world; it shall never be moved. (Psalm 93:1)
Almighty and Eternal God,
As the day draws to a close, we come before You in awe of Your majesty. Your word reminds us that You are clothed with honor and majesty and that You have established the world so that it shall never be moved.
Lord, as we reflect on the steadfastness of Your creation, we are comforted by the knowledge that You are the unchanging anchor in our lives. No matter the storms that rage around us, You remain sovereign, reigning over all with power and might.
As we rest this night, let our hearts be stilled by the assurance of Your eternal reign. Surround us with Your peace, O Lord, that we may lay down our worries and trust in Your unshakeable kingdom. May Your presence fill our dreams with visions of Your glory, and may we awaken refreshed, ready to serve You anew.
We offer this prayer in the name of Your Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ.
Amen.
May this prayer bring you comfort and strength as you reflect on God's promises this evening.
