Praying the Scriptures

Friday Morning Prayer

August 9, 2024

“For where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them.” (Matthew 18:20)

Heavenly Father,

In the quiet of this morning, we come before You, embracing the promise of Your presence. Though we may be physically apart, we unite our hearts in Your name, confident that You dwell amongst us.

Lord, as the dawn breaks and spreads its light upon the earth, spread Your grace and wisdom upon us. Let this day be filled with moments of shared joy and peace, even as we navigate through the trials of life. May our words and actions reflect Your love and draw others into the warmth of Your divine companionship.

Guide us in our thoughts and deeds, so that in everything, we may uphold the spirit of community and kindness. As we gather in different places, bind us together in Your purpose, that we may be a testament to the power of faith in You.

Thank You for the assurance that no prayer is too small and no gathering too few for You to be in the midst. As we start this day, keep us mindful of Your continual presence and the strength we draw from each other in Your sacred name.

Amen.

May this prayer bring you peace and inspiration for the day ahead.
