Praying the Scriptures

Monday Morning Prayer

August 5, 2024

Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom can we go? You have the words of eternal life. We have come to believe and know that you are the Holy One of God.” (John 6:68–69)

Gracious Lord,

As the new day dawns, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude and praise. Just as Peter confessed, "Lord, to whom can we go? You have the words of eternal life. We have come to believe and know that You are the Holy One of God." We, too, acknowledge Your sovereignty and grace in our lives.

In a world filled with uncertainty, we find our hope and refuge in You. Your words are the light that guides our path, the truth that sustains our souls, and the life that fills us with joy and purpose. Help us to remain steadfast in our faith, trusting in Your promises and following Your will.

May we be attentive to Your voice today, ready to respond with obedience and love. Fill us with Your Spirit, that we may reflect Your grace and compassion to all we encounter. In every challenge and opportunity, remind us of Your presence and Your power, for in You we find our strength and peace.

We offer this day to You, Lord, seeking to serve You with all our hearts. Thank You for the gift of eternal life and for calling us into Your holy presence. Be glorified in our lives today and always.

In the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior, we pray.

Amen.

May this prayer bring you peace and strength as you start your day.
