Praying the Scriptures

Saturday Morning Prayer

August 31, 2024

Think of us in this way, as servants of Christ and stewards of God’s mysteries. Moreover, it is required of stewards that they be found trustworthy. (1 Corinthians 4:1–2)

Gracious and Loving God,

As the dawn breaks and a new day begins, I come before You with a heart full of gratitude and reverence. You have called us to be servants of Christ and stewards of Your divine mysteries. In this calling, I ask for Your guidance and strength.

Help me, Lord, to be faithful in the responsibilities You have entrusted to me. May I serve with humility, knowing that I labor not for human approval but for Your glory alone. Let me be diligent and trustworthy in all that I do, reflecting the light of Christ in my words and actions.

In the quiet moments of this morning, I seek Your wisdom and discernment. Teach me to walk in Your ways, to love as You love, and to steward the gifts You have given me with care and integrity.

As I go forth into the world today, may I be a beacon of Your grace, faithfully sharing the mysteries of Your love with all whom I encounter. Keep me rooted in Your truth, and may my life be a testament to Your unfailing faithfulness.

In the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, I pray.

Amen.

I hope this prayer brings you peace and inspiration as you start your day.
