Praying the Scriptures

Sunday Morning Prayer

August 4, 2024

I therefore, the prisoner in the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, making every effort to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. (Ephesians 4:1–3)

Heavenly Father,

As I awaken to the light of a new day, I come before You with a humble heart, inspired by Your call through Your servant Paul in Ephesians. Lord, You have called me to a life worthy of the calling I have received—a calling filled with Your grace and purpose. As I step forward into this day, help me to embody the virtues of humility, gentleness, and patience.

Grant me the strength to bear with others in love, making every effort to maintain the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. In my interactions, whether they be simple or complex, remind me of the unity we share in Your Spirit. Help me to act in ways that build bridges, not barriers, fostering peace and mutual respect in my community.

As I navigate today's challenges and opportunities, keep my spirit attuned to Your presence and guidance. May my words and actions reflect Your love and contribute to the harmony and growth of the Body of Christ.

In the name of Jesus, I pray,

Amen.

I hope this prayer brings you peace and inspiration for your day.
