Praying the Scriptures
Tuesday Morning Prayer
August 13, 2024
So the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with singing; everlasting joy shall be upon their heads; they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away. I, I am he who comforts you. (Isaiah 51:11–12a)
Heavenly Father,
As the dawn breaks and fills this day with new light, we come before You with hearts longing for Your comfort. We remember Your promise, Lord, as spoken through the prophet Isaiah: "So the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with singing; everlasting joy shall be upon their heads; they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away."
We thank You, God, for being our Consoler, the One who wipes away every tear and turns mourning into dancing. Infuse our spirits with the everlasting joy that only You can give. As we face the day's challenges, remind us that You are ever close, our steadfast comforter and defender.
Lord, let sorrow and sighing flee as we embrace the gladness of Your presence. Guide our steps and our actions, that they may sing praises to Your name. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
In Your loving embrace, we start this day, assured of Your love and renewed by Your strength.
Amen.
May this prayer bring you peace and guidance as you start your day.
