Praying the Scriptures
Wednesday Morning Prayer
August 14, 2024
O that you had paid attention to my commandments! Then your prosperity would have been like a river, and your success like the waves of the sea. (Isaiah 48:18)
Heavenly Father,
As the morning light stretches across the horizon, we turn to Your Word, recalling Your desire for our peace and well-being, as vast as a flowing river, as boundless as the waves of the sea.
Guide us this day, O Lord, to walk in Your ways. Teach us to heed Your commands, that our peace may be like the river—constant and sustaining. May our righteousness be as the waves of the sea—endless and unwavering.
In our interactions, in our decisions, let Your wisdom flow through us. Where there is discord, allow us to be instruments of Your peace. Where there is doubt, let us sow faith; where there is despair, hope.
As we embark on the duties of this day, we ask for Your hand to lead us, Your love to inspire us, and Your voice to direct us. Help us to embody Your peace, sharing it generously with all whom we encounter.
In Your holy and precious name, we pray,
Amen.
May this prayer bring you strength and encouragement as you go about your day!
