Wednesday Morning Prayer
August 7, 2024
While you have the light, believe in the light, so that you may become children of light. (John 12:36)
Gracious and loving God,
As the dawn breaks and the light of a new day graces us, we come before You with hearts filled with gratitude. In Your divine wisdom, You have called us to walk in the light, to become children of light. As Your word in John 12:36 reminds us, "While you have the light, believe in the light, so that you may become children of light."
Lord, illuminate our paths today with Your truth and love. Help us to embrace the light of Your presence, letting it guide our thoughts, actions, and words. May we reflect Your goodness and grace to those around us, becoming beacons of hope and kindness in a world often shadowed by uncertainty and fear.
Strengthen our faith, Lord, so that we may stand firm in Your promises. Grant us the courage to shine brightly even in moments of darkness, knowing that Your light within us is a testament to Your unending love and mercy.
As we step into this day, may we carry Your light into every corner of our lives, spreading peace, joy, and compassion. Let our lives be a testimony to Your light, drawing others closer to Your embrace.
We ask this in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, the true light of the world.
Amen.
