Praying the Scriptures
Monday Morning Prayer
October 28, 2024
Offer to God a sacrifice of thanksgiving, and pay your vows to the Most High. Call on me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me. (Psalm 50:14–15)
Heavenly Father,
As the crispness of October fills the air and the golden hues of autumn unfold around us, I come before You in gratitude and humility. On this Monday morning, I recall Your words from Psalm 50: “Offer to God a sacrifice of thanksgiving, and pay your vows to the Most High. Call on me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me.”
Lord, I offer You my thanksgiving, not just in words, but in the deeds and promises kept to You and to others. As the new week dawns, help me to live out my vows—those quiet promises made in earnest prayer and during moments of deep reflection. May my actions reflect the gratitude that stirs within my soul for the countless blessings You bestow.
In the days of trouble, when challenges rise like the mountains around us, remind me to call upon You. Strengthen my faith to trust in Your deliverance, knowing that each trial is an opportunity to glorify Your name.
Today, I pray for the wisdom to see Your hand in every leaf that falls and every chill breeze that whispers change. Guide my steps this week. Make my heart brave and my spirit joyful. Let my life be a testament to Your enduring love and grace.
In Your holy name, I pray,
Amen.
May this prayer bring you peace and strength as you start your day.
